Select Walt Disney World parks unavailable for reservations, Disney files demolition permit at NBA Experience, and the United Kingdom Pavilion restrooms reopen — all this and more in today’s daily recap for Monday, February 19, 2024 . Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom A Cast Member made a daring rescue of a fallen shoe in the Rivers of America today at Magic Kingdom. EPCOT After eight months of refurbishment, the United Kingdom Pavilion restrooms are open to guests once again. Ceiling panels and lighting have been installed on the facade of CommuniCore Hall, as well as more triangular panels. Even more topiaries have been installed for the 2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, including Lady & the Tramp, a new butterfly topiary, and more. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Construction walls have come down around Ice Cold Hydraulics, revealing the kiosk’s full menu and prices. Disney Springs Disney has filed a permit for demolition at the former NBA Experience in Disney Springs, which never reopened following COVID-19 pandemic closures. Other Walt Disney World News Walt Disney World was still feeling the Presidents Day crowds, as select parks were unavailable for park reservations for those without date-based tickets. Walt Disney World also sold out of its “Multiple Parks” option for Genie+ today. Disneyland Resort To celebrate Anaheim Ducks Days later this month, limited-time treats and merchandise will be available at Disney California Adventure. Salt and Straw is resurrecting the Choco Taco, and it may make its way to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Disneyland Paris The Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris has launched a new on-demand electric shuttle service for guests. Disney Cruise Line Construction continues at Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, and new photos from Mousesteps share a look at cabanas along the shoreline, Mabrika Cove, and more. Entertainment and Media A first-person “Star Wars” Mandalorian video game is in development at Respawn Entertainment.
