READ: Geraldine Viswanathan Replaces Ayo Edebiri In Marvel’s ‘Thunderbolts’ Based upon the Academy Award-winning animated film, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ was adapted for the stage in 1993 before making its Broadway premiere at the Palace Theater in 1994. The New York production closed in 2007 to make way for ‘The Little Mermaid.’ The new reimagined version will reunite Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Linda Woolverton with creatives from the original Broadway production: Natasha Katz (Lighting Designer); Stanley A Meyer (Scenic Designer); Jim Steinmeyer (Illusion Designer); Ann Hould-Ward (Costume Designer) and Matt West (choreographer and director of the new production). The production will be identical to the UK & Ireland Tour production which toured the UK & Ireland (plus a brief stop in the West End) in 2021-2022. The same non-replica production is currently touring Australia. Tickets can be purchased here.
