Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party returned to Disney California Adventure on November 10 as holiday festivities commenced across Disneyland Resort. The holiday celebration of Latino cultures serves as the host of several festive performances and offerings, including the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, which made its 2023 debut on Friday afternoon.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! celebrations take place in the Paradise Gardens Park section of Disney California Adventure. Celebration-specific offerings include the aforementioned Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party, a meet-and-greet with Mirabel from “Encanto,” and an event-specific menu at Paradise Garden Grill that contains Mexican-inspired cuisine. Three Kings Day, a holiday celebrated in many Latin American cultures on or around January 6, is also celebrated as part of Disney ¡Viva Navidad!

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! runs at Disney California Adventure from November 10, 2023, through January 7, 2024.

The Street Party, hosted by the Three Caballeros, features Mexican folklórico dancers and mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers and percussionists, and giant mojiganga puppets. The performance also features Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. The characters appear in their newly unveiled Disney ¡Viva Navidad! exclusive festive costumes.

The Street Party starts with a group of folklórico dancers and mariachi dancing with one another.

They’re soon joined by a large mojiganga wearing a traditional folklórico dress.

A float holding Donald, José Carioca, and Panchito follows the initial group. The float is decorated with festive ornament-and-instrument-adorned garland and multi-colored tassels. The garland-garnished structure that serves as the float’s roof is shaped similarly to a sombrero.

The stairs leading to the second level of the float contain artwork reminiscent of Mexican folk art.

Donald is wearing a collared red shirt, a green vest with floral striping, and a red-and-green Santa hat.

José Carioca wears a shiny blue blazer and hat with floral detailing.

Panchito confidently sports a maroon coat with yellow detailing that barely covers his chest, completing his outfit with purple pants and a maroon-and-yellow sombrero.

More folklórico dancers and mariachi follow the float and quickly surround it as it comes to a stop.

They perform traditional Mexican music and dances as Donald, José Carioca, and Panchito dance on the float.

After a few moments, Brazilian samba dancers join the Street Party.

They’re joined by Brazilian percussionists, who play traditional music.

Another mojiganga soon comes out, this one wearing a more colorful outfit.

All of the performers interact with one another as the percussionists and mariachi play music.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse then join the Street Party, entering on smaller floats attached to bicycles.

The two join the Three Caballeros on the float.

Mickey wears a teal guayabera shirt and khaki pants, while Minnie wears a purple dress covered in flower patterns.

The show concludes with additional dancing and music.

Giant mojigangas depicting Santa and Mrs. Claus are brought out to close the party.
