SNL alum Molly Shannon is joining the stacked cast of Only Murders in the Building season 4. Shannon will play a high-powered Los Angeles businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in New York. According to Collider, the setting of the fourth season will move away from the Arconia to Los Angeles. Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez are all back as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. The series is currently in production with no release date announced yet. The Hulu series has received critical acclaim for its comedic approach to crime fiction, as well as the performances and chemistry of the lead cast. It has received nominations for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series and Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy. For their acting performances, Martin and Short have gained comedy acting nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards, and Gomez has also been nominated for two Golden Globes. As for Molly Shannon, she is no stranger to The Walt Disney Company, she portrayed Tracy in The Santa Clause 2 and Mrs. Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in The Music Man . She also voiced Molly in Air Buddies and Snow Buddies , as well as Rita the Cheetah in Doc McStuffins. Additionally, she played Colonel Beverly Shannon in Jessie, a Woman in the ABC TV show Ellen , and Denise Lemmon in the NBC/ABC TV show Scrubs .
