Halloween is officially over, and it’s finally November. What many people don’t truly understand though, is that once Halloween is over, and everyone leaves the Disneyland/Disney World Magic Kingdom park October 31st (or more accurately, November 1st since it closes at 12 in the morning), it becomes Christmas. They have less than 8 hours to take down all the Halloween decorations and make it a Winter Wonderland. It’s almost as bad as the local grocery stores going from scary Halloween Music to The Carpenters. Now, I love Christmas as much as the next guy, (although I celebrate Hanukkah, not Christmas) but the magic change between Halloween and Christmas with a whole month in-between has always been too extreme in my case. Thanksgiving gets completely hosed out of a decent celebration, like the ones Halloween and Christmas get. There’s a whole month before Christmas and yet for some reason, once those Halloween decorations go down, it’s CHRISTMAS.
Due to the fact that now it’s magically the Christmas season, they’re already selling tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom in Disney World. And on that note, tickets start at $86.00 on select nights, not including tax. The party is from to , 2016, and only on select nights.
ANYWAYS, back to what I was saying: Thanksgiving is overlooked. Although it “isn’t”, it’s wicked overlooked. I personally find this unfair.
On another note, I find Thanksgiving to be not as “worthy” to be celebrated like the others. BUT! On a DIFFERENT note, Disney should have some kind of tribute to Hanukkah too. Give a little love to the Jewish community.
What do you guys think of this? Is it cool to go from Halloween to Christmas in a matter of minutes? Or should Thanksgiving get it’s proper celebration like the other two holidays?
